The Upper Canada District School Board (UCDSB) and our schools use the personal information you provide to us, in accordance with the Education Act and the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA). The Acts set guidelines that schools and district school boards must follow when collecting, using, disclosing, and/or disposing of personal information. Personal information refers to recorded information about an identifiable individual. Some examples of personal information are names, addresses, phone numbers and date of birth.

My Family Room is a secure web service developed specifically for the guardians of students enrolled in UCDSB schools. The service provides access to a variety of features that enhance Board-Parent communications and provides 24/7 access to information related to your children.

Guardians have the option to use their social media accounts to authenticate to the My Family Room service. The UCDSB only collects email and public profile attributes from their social media login – i.e. Facebook and Google login - which is the minimal amount of data required. The data captured by the UCDSB is strictly used for guardians to authenticate to the My Family Room service. No other data is required, stored, or processed by the UCDSB.

Guardians wishing to delete their My Family Room account and all collected personal data may visit our My Family Room Help site. Select the Contact Us link, select Delete Account option in “What is the nature of your inquiry?”. Provide details for deleting the account. Accounts will be deleted within 24 hours of receipt of the deletion request.
